Multiple full time and part time positions available.

Grade 3 Salary £20,136 - £21,702 per annum (pro rota) , with earning potential of £22,425 based on performance.

Do you enjoy a busy and varied working environment? Do you like helping customers? Are you passionate about people, ICT, books & information? Do you love problem solving and multitasking?

Do not think working in a library is a quiet easy job - the pace of work can often be fast, challenging and exciting. If you are used to working like this, then this could be the job for you.

We are looking for staff who are flexible, adaptable and willing to try new challenges- we need people who can use IT, are confident with handling cash and using a till, who can transfer easily from running a rhyme time session for a group of babies and their carers, to dealing with a group of teenagers using the library as a meeting place, to helping an older customer set up an email.

You must be a good team player and enjoy working with a diverse range of customers and volunteers as you will be delivering the day to day library service and will be an ambassador for providing excellent customer care as well as helping to deliver events and activities that increase visits and issues. You will need to be confident in using IT for your own work and in helping customers use IT equipment and software, such as scanners, printers, apps, social media, setting up emails, etc.

You will make the library a welcoming and vibrant place that people want to use and enjoy.

You will be required to work evenings, weekends and public holidays on a regular basis.

We offer:

Local Government Pension Scheme
Up to 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays
Bicycle loan facilities
Childcare vouchers
Cycle to Work scheme
Interest free season ticket loans
Subsidised gym membership
Local and national discounts for shopping, eating out and leisure activities

Sutton is a short train journey from Clapham Junction and London Victoria (20-30 minutes), and London Bridge (30-50 minutes) and easily accessible from the neighbouring boroughs of Croydon and Merton
