Commissioning Manager - Children's Health (Fixed Term)

Grade 9 Salary: £39,774 - £47,511 (£49,464 unconsolidated maximum through performance related progression)
Status: Fixed term, 12 month contract (with possible extension)

Hours: Full time, 36 hours per week

Location: Sutton Civic Offices, SM1 1EA

We are looking for a Commissioning Manager to join our Children’s Health and SEND commissioning team. You will be an important part of the joint virtual team (Council and CCG) reviewing services for children, young people and their families in the Borough, continuing to drive innovation and excellence in our approach for the benefit of children, young people and their families.

We are looking for someone who:
Has a clear understanding of commissioning and partnership development and can be accountable for commissioning services, proactively managing contracts and provider relationships
Has an in depth knowledge of Children’s Services and Public Health.
Can lead on service re-design that supports our ambitious programme of high quality service delivery for children and
young people whilst achieving value for money

Has an ability to liaise at all levels; network; influence; an eye for detail and be able to write succinct briefing papers and reports Will live and promote the corporate values of the Council through your day-to-day work and behaviours
The successful candidate will lead by example, entrenching a ‘people focused’ attitude and a relentless focus on achieving outcomes across the portfolio.
