Public Health Practitioner
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: Grade 8 £33,291 - £40,728 per annum (£42,684 unconsolidated maximum achievable through performance-related progression)
Contract status: Permanent
Hours: Full-time, 36 hours per week
Location: The primary base for the role will be the Sutton Civic Offices, however due to on-going restrictions with COVID-19, members of the team are currently working from home.

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Public Health Practitioner to work on reducing health inequalities across the population. We are a busy team working across the Council and partner agencies building relationships influencing policy and delivering services to tackle health inequalities and provide innovative, evidence-based solutions to health care issues.

If you would like to immerse yourself in a wide-ranging and fast-paced public health practitioner role, have a sound knowledge of public health approaches and population health challenges, excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, the experience of working in local government and proven project management experience, we would like to hear from you.

You will take the lead on specific areas of work to reduce health inequalities, with lead responsibility for their development, implementation and evaluation. You will contribute to the borough-wide integration of health and social care and new models of delivery, helping organisations build public health capability and support services and pathways.

About you
This role is ideal for a professional looking to develop this skills in this area. You will already have an strong knowledge and experience of Public Health approaches and challenges along with experience of working in a similar role and organisation. 

You will have proven experience in project management, with the ability to analyse and interpret complex information and build solutions/ options to improve the service. You will also hold excellent organisational skills and able to manage and prioritise your workload independently.
