Salary: Grade 7 FTE £29,766 - £35,724 (£37,842 unconsolidated maximum, achievable through performance-related progression) - pro rata for 18 hours (actual starting salary £14,882.99)
Hours of work: Job share (18 hours per week)

Fixed term: Until 31st December 2020

A 12 month fixed term position for Heritage Development Officer: Schools programming is available.

Building on a 500 year history, the recently completed National Lottery Heritage Fund refurbishment of Whitehall presents an opportunity to rediscover this incredible Tudor site in the present with greater access than ever before. In addition to improved physical accessibility, the project allows us to offer the space to the community in new and exciting ways as a hub for education and entertainment, inviting visitors to add to Whitehall’s unique story moving into the future.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Heritage Development Officer to develop the Schools programme associated with the aims of the Whitehall Project. The successful candidate will be creative, enthusiastic, self-motivated with excellent sector knowledge, administrative and IT skills. Experience relating to both Schools and the Museum sector is essential. They will also be proactive and efficient and be able to work with minimal supervision in a busy office environment, using knowledge and a positive attitude to ensure tasks are completed accurately and within specified deadlines. Flexibility and teamwork is a must.

The post is based at Sutton Central Library, but you will also work at the museums
