Sutton Housing Partnership: Housing Area Manager

Salary: Band 5 - 39,177 - 44,476

Hours: Full time, 36 hours per week

Contract Type: Fixed Term 12 months

About the role

Sutton Housing Partnership (established in 2006) manages council housing in Sutton. We aim to bring investment and improvements to homes across the borough. We are responsible for the day-to-day management of housing services to around 6,000 council tenants and 1,500 leaseholders.

We are currently seeking an Area Housing Manager’s to join us in working together to deliver homes and communities where residents feel happy and secure. 

You will be an inspiring leader for your designated patch, providing a customer-focused service in all areas of housing management. Providing operation oversight, you will play an active role in setting and communicating the direction of the service we offer and will undertake quality, financial and management monitoring across your areas of responsibility.

We are looking for a skilled Housing Management professional with good knowledge and understanding of current issues that affect the provision of an effective and efficient housing management service. With a track record of managing and motivating a team, you will have the ability to coach and develop staff using your strong communication and interpersonal skills. You will also have a solid understanding of housing and landlord regulatory & compliance requirements.

Due to the nature of the role, you will need to have a driving license and access to your own vehicle with suitable business insurance. You will need to be flexible with your working hours to cover evenings/weekends to suit the needs of the business.
